It is one of the most important and hardest parts of my job. In a digital world, it can be hard to change hairstylists' analog ways. As stylists we are expected to make the impossible happen or create something from a photograph in one shot.
I try my very best to give realistic expectations. But by far the scariest thing is when the client says "I trust you; just do what you want." As much as you think this is giving us all the confidence in the world, it actually makes our job harder. We are emotional people. We create art and we create our idea of beautiful.
We are chemists, emotional support persons, fashion creators, and business owners (not to mention what we do when we're not behind the chair).
Sometimes, it's hard to find your groove with a client. Sometimes you just can't. This is why I value my relationship I build with each one of you.
I try my very best to meet, or exceed you expectations. So bring all the photos! I'll ask what you like about every single one and find the best solution for you and you hair.
That is my promise!
